This sounds so good, but I may have to make it with beef instead of venison. Just to clarify…after you marinate the meat, when do you add it back into the recipe for cooking?
GREAT question. I added this into the post above because I'd forgotten (!!), but after cooking the bacon, remove the bacon and sear the venison cubes, then remove the venison before adding the vegetables in. Right before it goes back to simmer on the stove, add all the meat back into the mixture and let it do its thing.
And beef cubes absolutely work with the recipe. Can't wait to see how it turns out for you!
